For Doc

I had forgotten about this job (I won't get into it... lets just say job from hell and leave it at that), but I had to recreate a couple of ferraris and a porsche. I might finish the animation for my reel if I have time this summer, if I do I'll post it for ya... tricked out Diem-Turner Ferrari from the U.S. Express (Cannonball run to the uninitiated....)

Congrats on the new purchase btw :) I know I'm a bit behind in my blog reading... very busy lately.

  1. Awesome! You may know that I actually purchased a 308, but it just didn't pan out after it failed inspection (miserably, I might add).

I went on a Ferrari run this weekend with 2 430s in front of my 328 and a 308 behind me. The 308 couldn't keep up. I'm glad that 308 didn't work out.

I'm very curious as to why you are "recreating" Ferraris, but I'm intrigued. I really like what you've done.

  2. Yeah, I remember the 308 fail. Glad you were smart enough to get a good inspection, that 500 bucks was well spent.

Speaking of fail.... these were comps for a documentary about the U.S Express and a guy that recently broke the ny to la record (if you think about it - pretty impressive with the amount of radar etc..).

The filmmaker had never made a film before and was in WAY over her head, and pretty much turned a good story into complete garbage. Both the editor and I (2 different companies) got out while we could. I found out later she had abused 2 other graphics companies the same way before mine, and I'm sure she's doing the same to whoever she roped in now. Supposedly has more investors to dump cash into this turkey and is looking to put it out at the end of this summer. Been saying that for 4 years. I've never tilted so hard on a job in my life, and I've had some good ones...
